Hunslet Hawks RLFC are delighted to announce the signing of Richard Knight from York City Knight's.
Knight 24 is a goal kicking back row forward/centre who stands at 6' 4" and weighs 15 st 7 lbs.
He made 18 Appearances for York in 2009 scoring 6 tries.
Director of Rugby Darren Williams said " Richard completes our squad for 2010, by his own admission he didn't have the best of season's at York and wants to get back to the form he showed at Keighley when he really came to prominence."
Williams added " On his day he is a very skilful player and we aim to bring his A game back to the table, he will add to the quality goal kickers we have at the club and will be competing with Darren Robinson, Wayne McHugh, Stuart Young, Danny Grimshaw, Nigel Scott & Tom Sheldrake for that honour."
Knight said " I am looking to get back to the form I showed at Keighley in 2008 and see this move as the ideal opportunity to do just that and I am delighted to join the ambitious Hawks as they look to challenge for promotion in 2010."
Knight will make his Hawks debut in one of the arranged pre-season games:
27 December Keighley home 2pm
10 January York away 3pm Reserves 15 January Huddersfield home 7.30pm Reserves
Meanwhile discussions are on going with Leeds Rhino's on finding a suitable date for the Lazenby Cup Fixture.
