Hunslet Hawks RLFC have added to their squad with the addition of Gareth Hynes from Bradford Bulls. Gareth is a stand off who came through the ranks of the highly acclaimed East Leeds junior set up. The 18 year old has signed a 2 year contract with the club.
Also joining the Hawks is Joey Walkin from Wakefield Trinity Wildcats. He is a tough aggressive forward who made a huge impact in his previous spell at the club. Joey 19 has signed a 1 year contract as has his brother Ben who has re-signed for a further stint with the club.
Director of Rugby Darren Williams said “ The addition of Gareth & Joey adds 2 quality teenagers to the burgeoning talent currently at the club and under the astute tutorship of Gary Lord our Reserve grade coach their careers look set to flourish.”
Williams added “Ben will not only add experience to the Reserves initially but will also push his claim for a first team spot.”
All 3 will play in tonight's Reserve Grade friendly at Wakefield.
Meanwhile Joe Howey has been released by the club and has joined Hunslet Warriors who play in the Yorkshire League.
