Hunslet Hawks RLFC have continued their recent recruitment drive for 2010 with the addition of 2 quality young players.
Joining the Hawks on 1 year contracts are prop/back row forward Jake Wilson 20 from Dewsbury Rams and back row forward Michael Kelly 20 from Castleford Tigers.
Wilson ends a 2 year spell at the Rams and at 6' 3" is a big unit who runs good lines.
Kelly has been at Castleford for 3 years and is a victim of the reduction from under 21's to under 20's for the Super League reserve grade competition. Mike is a strong ball carrier with a high work rate and scored 4 tries in 16 appearances for Castleford in their Senior Academy competition for 2009.
Director of Rugby Darren Williams said "Jake & Mike are both hungry to prove themselves at this level and see Hunslet as the club to showcase their talents and push for regular 1st team inclusion."
Williams added "It's great that these youngsters see how far the club has progressed over the previous 12 months and are now knocking on our door just asking for an opportunity, we will provide them with that opportunity and the rest is up to them."
