He joined the club in 2012, start of the season. It was a great acquisition as he was already working as assistant coach and doing supremely well. He had a record of challenging and successful carrier with various rugby teams. He joined as head coach for Hunslet from Celtic Crusaders where he was already assistant head coach.
Apart from having a triumphant carrier as coach he also had chances to lead the promotions for Keighley Cougars. Apart from his other commitments, he also coaches for the Welsh Under 19 team. He still remains to be the head coach for the Welsh team (under 19).
Barry Eaton has had some great experience as coach. But he has had better rugby experiences playing for several teams including Dewsbury , Wakefield, Batley and Widnes. The best part is he understands the strengths and weakness of players from different teams as he has had the opportunity to play with or against them at some point of time. This comes as a great advantage as newly acquired players are comfortable working around him. Barry Eaton has signed a 2-year contract with Hunslet Hawks and is staying here at Hawks full time. With a new coach, who knows what he is doing and a whole bunch of players recruited, all the Hawks fans can hope for is a best season of Rugby league all through.
